During our last visit to Salzburg, we stayed for 3 days in the Old Center of Salzburg and then stayed 2 nights in St. Wolfgang (across the lake from St. Gilgen) for a totally different stop. We loved staying in the lakefront hotel in a relaxing quaint town where we could take some easy morning hikes in the lower portion of the mountains and. During my holiday in St Gilgen I had heard about the Pilgrim Way. It leads from Furberg, near St Gilgen, over the Falkenstein hill, through the hamlet of Reid to St Wolfgang.
